IP66 19″ Data Rack Cabinets

IP Enclosures’ IP66 wall-mounted 19″ data racks are purpose-built for compact, secure housing of sensitive network and rack-mounted control equipment in harsh industrial environments. Constructed from galvanised steel sheet with a robust monoblock body, these enclosures provide excellent protection against dust, water ingress, and mechanical impact. The integrated gland plate facilitates efficient cable entry and management.

Available in smaller rack unit sizes ranging from 4RU to 15RU, these data racks support diverse applications including industrial automation, process control systems, communications networks, and rack-mounted devices. Features such as adjustable 19” rails, surface-mounted doors with concealed removable hinges and a 110° opening angle enable easy access for installation and maintenance.

The racks incorporate machine-applied full perimeter UL-listed polyurethane seals rated for temperatures from -40°C to 80°C with short-term tolerance up to 160°C, ensuring robust environmental protection in extreme conditions. The locking system enhances security against unauthorised access. These compact, high-performance racks are ideal for industrial sectors such as manufacturing plants, mining sites, water treatment facilities, and utilities, where reliable protection and accessibility of network infrastructure are paramount.

Our 19″ data racks have achieved Network Rail Acceptance Panel (NRAP) Product Acceptance under Network Rail’s PADS (Parts and Drawings System), indicating that they are approved for use on railway infrastructure, having undergone rigorous evaluation and been granted a controlled catalogue number following successful assessment against Network Rail’s technical standards and reliability requirements. PADS approval confirms that these enclosures are safe, reliable, compatible with railway infrastructure, and fit for purpose without imposing unacceptable risks. For rail infrastructure and signalling applications, this certification streamlines procurement, ensures traceability and configuration management via the PADSnet database, and provides confidence that the product meets the demanding operational expectations of the UK rail network.

Body & 19″ Rails:

The robust monoblock body is 1.5mm galvanised steel sheet. Precision automated manufacturing equipment ensures accuracy and consistent high quality. Flat face sealing surfaces increase seal life. A galvanised steel gland plate is also incorporated into the bottom face. 19″ data rack rails are fitted. 600mm deep racks include front and rear rails.

Door:

The surface mounted door is 1.5mm galvanised steel sheet. It incorporates concealed removable hinges with captive pins. Doors are also designed for a 110° opening. Door with windows are available as an accessory.

Seal:

A high quality machine-applied full perimeter UL listed Polyurethane seal foamed in place (FIP) provides excellent sealing over a long life. Temperature resistance -40°C to 80°C (160°C short term loading).

Lock:

5mm double bit insert quarter turn lock with key. A full range of locking solutions are available upon request.

Gland Plate:

Gland plates are incorporated into the bottom face of the enclosure for cable management. They are provided with gaskets and fasteners. The size and quantity vary according to enclosure size.

Surface Treatment:

UL approved AkzoNobel epoxy polyester powder coated with a textured finish. 80-120 micron average thickness.
